Not a very good buy The photos were quite disappointing though. I bought this for a recent snorkeling trip. The camera itself was leak-proof and performed well under water. It did not even come close to doing justice to what we actually saw.
great pricing and speedy servicephotos did not come out very well, dark and foggy looking- not sure how much light is needed: all pictures were taken in very clear water less than 2 feet under
We took these to the beach so we didn't ruin our digital cameras. All the snorkeling photos were wonderful. What else can you ask for. Great bang for the buck. I just got back from using these in Maui. In and out of the water, the photos were crisp, and clear.
It's also not for use much below the surface. I picked up pretty good color. I took some really good photos with this little camera. It was difficult to point and click underwater with a snorkeling mask and currents to contend with, but considering that, it performed well. I didn't take pictures of anything through more than a few feet of water, which is what I've heard prevents it from getting colors.
The first picture was crystal clear and then the remaining pictures were all cloudy and some were barely visable. I wouldn't recommend it. Purchased this camera for the waterpark. For a waterproof camera, I felt it wasn't waterproof at all and it wasn't worth the amount I spent on the camera and processing.
